There are several local organizations (not affiliated with, or endorsed by JJYL) that offer Fall, Winter and Summer programs for varying age groups. These programs have supported JJYL with donations that help our program.
For our youngest newer players… JJYL and John Jay alum Mike Bocklet (who now plays for the New York Lizards of the Major League Lacrosse) is hosting a new player clinic for grades K-3 at Somers Sports Center. We encourage players interested in joining JJYL in spring to try this clinic to see if lax is a good fit for your son. This program is limited to 20 participants, so early registration is encouraged: http://tristate.team91lacrosse.com/academy/girls/k3-training-academy/)
Little Warriors - For our youngest players a great option, run by JJYL Coach and JJ Alum Mike Chiappa. "Little Warriors" is a lacrosse program for boys grades 1-4 emphazing the enjoyment of lacrosse with fun, skill oriented drills. Our goal is to provide a solid lacrosse base with year round skill improvement, teamwork, motivation and good sportsmanship. Little Warriors has 3 seasons including Fall, Winter and Summer with flexible schedules to work around other sports and life in general. https://leagueathletics.com/Page.asp?n=137550&org=WESTCHESTERWARRIORS
