In 2016, John Jay Youth Lacrosse launched an equipment loaner program for boys and girls in grades K - 4, offering equipment at no charge to new players. The program expanded in ths Spring of 2017 to include any new to JJYL registrants in grades K - 8.
Now, JJYL is expanding the program again to offer the loaner program to new to JJYL registrants who sign up for the boys fall clinics that will begin in September 2017. To be eligble for the loaner program, you must be a first time registrant to JJYL AND you must reside in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District.
The way the program works is simple. Parents/guardians register for the program at www.jjyl.org, provide a credit
card deposit for the cost of the equipment (at the JJYL discounted price).
A waiver must be on file, signed by parent/guardian in order to participate.
At the end of the season, players can keep the equipment and be charged for the JJYL cost, or return the equipment and not be charged. (Boys participating for the Fall 2017 clinics must return the gear on or before January 31, 2018 to avoid a charge OR by June 15, 2018 if they registered for 2018 spring season by January 15, 2018).
To qualify for the loaner program, players must be a first time registrant to John Jay Youth Lacrosse and reside in the Katonah-Lewisboro school district.
Boys get a helmet, stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, and gloves. You must provide your own protective cup, mouthguard and waterbottle.
Girls, who require less gear, get a stick and eyewear. You must provide a mouthguard and water bottle.
To participate, you must register for the program at www.jjyl.org — this is in addition to registering for the Fall Clinics or Spring Season
